Ridgeline Consulting

Your business doesn't run
the way your software assumes.

Industrial and operating companies rent software built for someone else, then pay people to be the glue between the gaps. I build the other kind: operational and estimating systems shaped to how your operation actually runs.

Tell Me What Doesn't Fit
01

People have become the glue. Your operation runs on tools built for some other business. The gaps between them get closed by people: retyping, reconciling, remembering, chasing. That's skilled headcount spent compensating for software that never fit.

02

The fix you can't hire for. Whether it's estimating capacity, pipeline discipline, or a single source of truth for the operation, the hire that would fix it is expensive, scarce, or doesn't exist. What actually closes the gap is usually a system, not a seat.

Diagnosis first. Then the build.

I spent nearly 15 years estimating and running project controls on heavy industrial work, from multi-trade ship repair bids to industrial EV charging installations. The job was finding what drives cost and being accountable for the number. That's the skill I bring: figure out what's actually wrong, quantify what it's costing you, then build the system that offsets it.

Not SaaS. Not a template. A system shaped to where your business already is and how it actually operates.

If the build doesn't earn its keep in the operation, it's the wrong build.

Two systems I build. One diagnostic behind them.

Building custom used to take a team and a year. It doesn't anymore. What's scarce now is knowing what to build, and that comes out of the same diagnostic either way: how the work actually flows, where the cost is leaking, what the fix looks like. Contractors, manufacturers, logistics operations, and defense-adjacent suppliers all hit the same wall.

1

Conversation

Tell me how your operation runs and where the friction is. The call is free and there's no obligation attached to it. If I can help, I'll tell you how. If I can't, I'll tell you that too.

2

The Diagnostic

The first engagement, scoped and priced before it starts. I trace how the work actually flows, find what's driving the cost, and hand you a plan you can act on. It ends at a clean stop point, and what happens next is your call.

3

Build & Support

If you want it built, I build it: a working system your team uses, not a slide deck. Monthly engagements after that keep it running and evolving as the operation changes.

Bring me the problem you can't staff.

The first conversation is free. I'll tell you whether this is something I can fix and what the diagnostic would take. If I'm not the right vendor, I'll say so.
